Foodshed Capital will discuss alternative lending opportunities for small and beginning farmers, with an emphasis on bridge lending to support reimbursable grant awards. Attendees will learn about capital access opportunities to enable participation in EQIP, SWCD, State, and Federal grant programs, how to prepare for effective execution, and what to expect in loan servicing and repayment.

The FARMWISE Hub is an interactive platform supporting underserved farmers, ranchers and foresters to access financial knowledge and overcome barriers to accessing USDA programs. The FARMWISE Hub offers financial literacy courses in both English and Spanish, curated USDA resources, an agrotourism directory, and Equitable Foodshed Map.
