What to Expect

Our virtual meeting will help you learn how you can support Piedmont Fibershed at festivals and beyond. At our events, volunteers are an important our organization. It’s also a wonderful way to connect with the fiber community. No prior expertise is required—just bring your enthusiasm for textiles and community!

Beyond festivals, volunteers can contribute their skills in many ways: assisting in the Burlington Makerspace, writing blog posts or grants, documenting stories through interviews and photography, supporting our Living Fiber Library, helping with social media, or expanding resources like our Fiber Directory and Community Calendar.

Whether you’re interested in hands-on festival work or behind-the-scenes projects, we’ll help match your talents with meaningful opportunities. Together, we can weave stronger connections across our local fiber landscape.
